Aloe Vera Gel and Lotion

Applied to wounds, Aloe Vera Gel is a mild anesthetic, relieving itching, swelling, and pain. it also is antibacterial and antifungal, increases blood flow to wounded areas, and stimulates fibroblasts, the skin cells responsible for wound healing. Contains no artificial coloring. Provides soothing relief from minor skin irritations. Use on face, hands and body. It is quickly absorbed, non-greasy and will not stain clothing or bedding. Apply liberally as often as needed.

Recent clinical studies confirm aloe's effectiveness as a home remedy for skin care. A double-blind, placebo-controlled study of psoriasis patients showed that topically applied aloe Vera gel treated psoriasis with no toxic effects. In this study, aloe cured 25 of 30 subjects compared to the placebo cure rate of 2 out of 30 people. Another study of 27 people with burn wounds showed that lesions treated with aloe Vera gel healed faster than with Vaseline gauze. A dermabrasion study showed that face wounds healed 72 hours faster when aloe Vera gel was added to the polyethylene oxide gel wound dressing. Scientific evidence also shows that a formulation of squalene - a carbohydrate found in vegetable oil, vitamin E and aloe Vera reduced skin tumors in mice.
