Natural Acne Treatment

Natural acne treatment is offered to:

  • prevent possible scarring
  • deal with inflamed and painful areas
  • limit the formation of new blackheads and whiteheads
  • lessen any stress or embarrassment associated with the acne

Acne responds well to treatment, especially if treated early, at the onset of the condition. There are some successful acne treatments that include cleansing agents and lotions made with Benzoyl Peroxide, gels or creams made modified forms of Vitamin A, and antibiotics applied to the skin or taken orally.

Topical medications containing salicylic acid or sulfur can help to unblock clogged hair follicles and relieve the burning sensations experienced with an outbreak. Benzoyl peroxide is the most widely used ingredient in acne medications. Available in varying strengths both over-the-counter and by prescription, this preparation kills bacteria and slows down the action of skin glands. It is highly effective when the condition is moderately serious, though some irritations such as extremely dry skin and peeling have been reported with continued use.

  • Salicylic acid helps stop the shedding of the skin cells lining the oil glands.
  • Benzoyl peroxide dries up the oil; it works by killing the bacteria.
  • Rercinol and sulfur work by breaking up the pimples.

Bodywork - Massage is often recommended for people with skin problems. It can help to increase circulation and lymphatic drainage and speed the healing of blemishes.

Stress Reduction - Yoga, exercise, breathing techniques, biofeedback, massage, and meditation may be beneficial.

A herbal blend that can help with acne consists of equal parts of the herbal extracts of sarsaparilla, yellow dock, burdock, and cleavers. These herbs are believed to be potent blood and lymph cleansers. Half a teaspoon per day of this blend can be taken three times per day combined with a healthy diet.

Spot application of tea tree oil to erupted blemishes can help to eliminate bacteria and reduce inflammation.

you can tighten pores by simply cleansing, toning, and moisturising - the cleansing opens the pores and cleans the dirt out. the toning then tightens the pores and the moisturising leaves a soft glow the the skin leaving it soft and fresh looking. hope this helped :)
